WOW, I guess I can try other options? I am d/l from the TechBench now. If I build my ISO DVD, do I just boot from it? I assume it gives me the option to just upgrade and not install new. I assume that if it does, I will have my programs untouched!
Do not boot from the DVD. Insert the DVD with Windows 10 running, like you would to play a movie. Then run setup.exe on the DVD from inside Windows 10.

This does not seem to agree with what I'm seeing on my only machine that currently shows the update. I have already tried installing it three times and it failed every time. However, after each failure it shows again (and appears to download itself again from scratch).
Guess we can scratch that one off.

OK, I ran it and it did update. It removed CPUZ, but wonder if I can just re-install it. For me it seemed like it notified me that the Update was available, but I was not able to do it after I ignored the notice.

Yeah, looking at the problems in this thread, I would say that TH2 for Windows 10 is less mature than SP1 was for previous versions of Windows.

    I wonder when TH3, TH4, ... will be as mature as SP1, SP2, ... were.

By July 2016 before the free year is over? Or thereafter?
It's not really that Windows 10 Version 1511 (Build 10586.3) is less mature; it seems that the delivery and update of same was the real problem.

Certainly the delivery is a problem for me, never arrived

I was thinking the same thing! Hopefully the others will be better.

Someone on another forum said they read somewhere that the update only shows up once and if it fails will never show again, not sure how correct it is.
    Stupid rumor and nothing more.
