Official ISOs still available, but they’re all hidden

As you probably heard during the weekend, Microsoft decided to remove the Windows 10 Threshold 2 (November Update) ISO download links all of a sudden, so the only way to get this new version is now via Windows Update. The ISOs that Microsoft provides at the moment point you to 10586 RTM build.

And yet, there still are ways to download the official Windows 10 Threshold 2 ISOs, and they do not involve turning to file sharing websites that usually hold the files, too.

The ISOs that Microsoft originally provided are available on its servers, but the download links are now hidden, so the two methods detailed below can help you reach them.

Keep in mind, however, that Microsoft can block these methods any minute now, so we can’t guarantee that they’ll work forever. We’ll update the article when they are no longer available.

Microsoft hasn’t removed Windows 10 Threshold 2 completely from its servers but actually pulled the plug on the Media Creation Tool that allows users to download the official ISOs.

And yet, while the Media Creation Tool is no longer displayed on the Windows 10 download page, the links are up and running. This means that you can still download the Media Creation Tool and create a bootable USB stick with Windows 10 Threshold 2 just like before.

And apparently it also depends upon the country of origin of the user because the above German link gives me build 10240.
