10586 installed without a hitch on this dual boot configuration from Windows update and both the admin acct and std user acct.work fine this time except with the same problem in the last build here where E mails in the Windows 10 app are not showing images only text and broken links when an e mail is opened .

On the last build I uninstalled / re installed the mail client app , no change .

I'm too lazy to clean install an ISO or clean install from within Windows . The mail client is not a deal breaker but just in case I might make an ISO from the Windows ~ bt folder on the c : drive its at 3.61 GB so 10586 should be in there otherwise I can just boot into RTM , the email app works fine there or use just my browser e mail link ☻

I made a browser link shortcut with an ICON for my e mail and put one in the start menu folder and pinned it to the tiles and one on the desktop so I can get there quickly instead of using the Windows 10 E mail UI app or opening chrome then the e mail from the bookmarks bar linked to my e mail for now it saves one mouse click which is trivial but easy to configure .☻

Lastly I noticed there is no watermark on the desktop for 10578 and the old watermark is gone .
Everything else seems OK so far and it seems to cold boot and re start decently fast .( better)

    Remember Insider build 10240 ?
It did not have watermark either.
It was because the final release Win 10 RTM was also the same copy as build 10240.

Apparently, the upcoming Threshold 2 is also same copy as build 10586.

We, the Insiders, get it ( Threshold 2 ) first before the non-insiders who run the Win 10 RTM.

What does being an OEM system have to do with it? Just wondering? Other than the warranty that is? If it came with Windows 8 or 8.1 OEM install the key is embedded in the BIOS. Swapping the hard drive won't change that. Did it already on my ASUS laptop.
Not much of anything, Alpha. :) I'm just a gutless wonder when it comes to new things; however, I've had the SSD drive in laptops and even installed Windows 10 on it. So why am I hesitating! I hadn't thought about having already done it in OEM laptops already.

This one's only 240 GB, so I can't dual boot with it. I need to do some research on dual booting with two drives installed instead of one big one.

My install went extremely smooth, with the exception of detection of dual monitors. Noticed that I can see and connect to other machines on my network without "contact the administrator" msg.

My dual monitors are working without a hitch, Meebers. I hadn't thought about it, since I've been cleaning some old files out of one of my external drives. I'm loving these dual monitors for this kind of work!

Tomorrow's job will be to check out getting into one of my laptops from here without jumping through hoops.

Dual booting with 2 drives is a piece of cake you can do it the old way from the splash screen or download a free 3rd party boot loader .

You can just put whatever OS ( maybe the test builds ) you use as the daily driver on an SSD and migrate RTM or whatever you decide to keep over to it when the Insider test builds stop or do it the other way around if you don't use the test builds for the daily driver . You can use the metal as a storage drive if you aren't on a laptop or get an USB enclosure for it and make it an external hdd it if you are .

I almost forgot about that . I just now turned on the second screen ( 40" 1080P Sony TV ) it worked fine & retained its settings in AMD catalyst and extended screen in windows I heard a windows sound and it was done .

I'm getting a new 4K 55" Sony in here in about 3 weeks that will be my TV and extended screen in this room replacing the 40" that will be re purposed it's only 2 yrs old and works well .

I'm not sure if I'm going to upgrade the dGPU and PSU just yet or just let the new TV upscale the 1080p to the panel it has it's own 4K Netflix & You tube apps in it and otherwise can play videos from a hdd and 4K gaming isn't happening besides this box isn't the gamer here anyway .

The Sony's are supposed to have the best 1080p >2160p upscale out there as far as TV's go .

Maybe not the right area to post this, but saved the .esd and did a checkdisk and removed last build. This erased ~BT folder and windows.old. The ~ws folder remains, should be able to delete manually? 2 other files on on the C: $WINRE_BACKUP_PARTITIONH.MARKER 0 bytes and a file called "END" 0 bytes would be ok to delete also?
