I went from 8.1 to 10240 to 10586. After doing the free upgrade to 10, I turned on receive insider builds and just left it running overnight. Next morning it was waiting to be installed. I had gone back to 8.1 on my spare desktop for testing, I got lazy and remote desk topped into it to do the initial upgrade to 10 over the Internet. It's hooked up to our main TV, this way I wasn't bothering my wife. Then remoted in again and did the upgrade to 10586. Kept all my custom settings etc. About all I had to do so far was uninstall a couple of the default installed Apps I never use.
Mine updated with no apparent problems, no sign of a watermark though.

My Store issue was solved by adding DNS servers manually in IPv4 properties. Tested with Google's DNS servers, primary 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4, store started working normally. Setting DNS back to "obtain automatically" brought the issue back, Store could only be launched once per session.
