just bad habit of mine
i tends to leave the tabs open for time being for things that i want to look-back but not important enough to be added to bookmark
those like forums threads, streaming sites, stocks prices
i dont think that i have 1000+tabs open, but rather how firefox count the tab
firefox seems to count each page = 1 tab, so like you visit google then visit a site in a tab = 2 tab rather than 1
I downloaded the Firefox 64-bit browser last night. I've been using it almost all day today and it has been working very good. I've noticed right away after installing it seemed snappier and loads pages faster compared to the 32-bit version. No crashes so far and even the Flash (Always activated) worked without crashing too! :)
I'll say one thing for the 42 version. When going to open it up I first have to close any Waterfox browser windows already open first! Waterfox proceeded this by about a few years already having been developed outside of Mozilla. Cyberfox another variant offers more features and options when reviewing the settings while Waterfox has been the stable platform Mozilla is taking off with this one.. When clicking on the FF 42 icon you simply end up seeing "Firefox is already running close all tabs".
x64 is not indicated anywhere except for the About: page and the entry in Uninstall apps, which is weird. You could tell immediately by how add-ons that interact with programs on your computer don't work, though. At least Kaspersky refuses to run.
If you go to Mozilla and not simply download the 64bit linked off the article's page you will run into the web installer that goes by the flavor of Windows you are running. For the 32bit flavor of the latest you can go to Mozilla Firefox 42.0 PL - 32-bit Download
There you will find the dropdown list that includes a few options including the 64bit flavor of 43.0 Beta now available to try out.
I see Trusteer's Rapport is only available for the 32bit version of Firefox, which makes going to 64bit a non-runner. Which is a pity...
