I've been running Firefox x64 since around version 36 and never had a problem with it.

For some reason it has been released on the beta builds but after the betas went final the x64 option was removed and only x32 available. Seems the devs weren't too keen on it and saw no advantage in having an x64 version.

F/F won't be as good as it could be security wise until they sandbox it like Chrome and IE 11. aside from lack of a sandbox F/F is real decent and could likely be a good default browser when they sandbox it, I read they are working on that .

I use Chrome as a default browser on the 4 PC's here but aside from the sandbox thing F/F is decent .

On the daily driver here I have F/F on my other primary partition in Windows 10 RTM along with Chrome ,IE 11 and Edge >
    ( the red headed wonky Windows 10 /IE11 stepchild .) ☻

I will likely update to the 64 bit F/ F though since I came across this thread sometimes F/F comes in handy .
The sandbox of those browsers are only keeping Scripts inside the Sandbox, nothing else:)
Fire Fox is still safer, even without a Sandbox.

Saw speed statistics between 32 bit & 64bit versions and it showed no difference there.Firefox Nightly has been 64bit, never that successful.

Speed probably won't be noticeable, but perhaps 64 bit will hold more tabs in memory.

Know you use Firefox, have you tried this version, bit reluctant to try it ? Not on Mozilla's actual site that i can see, only some source site from here.

Right from Mozilla's FTP server (which is where that Neowin link gets it from),

    Directory Listing: /pub/firefox/releases/42.0/win64/

just select the language of your choice.

For everybody who is still looking for a certain version of Firefox (including Win 64 bit): That's the link to Mozilla's server where you can find all versions (be it for Linux, Windows...).
