Not only hardware features, but also depends on the app itself as to whether it uses the sensors or which ones. Here's a few references.

I don't think MS has said yet. I have my eye on a Lumia 950 or 950 XL when they are released.

Nothing set in stone yet that I know of. I'm on and one can get on the email list when the 950 and 950XL get released for purchase.
