Right Chrome ,my default browser of choice , runs like a scalded dog faster than anything else in Windows 10 and everything works .

I successfully updated / imported my bookmarks from Chrome to IE 11> then to Edge as was mentioned here (shouldn't be necessary to do all that ) and they still didn't all go through 100% ?

I Used Edge today for about an hour and a half . I like the clean GUI but it's slow and laggy by comparison to Chrome .

Edge became unresponsive with maybe 8 or 9 tabs open and got worse the longer I used it maybe it's got a memory leak or something .

F/F runs way better in W10 than Edge .....it ain't bad at all .

In Edge the copy/clipboard /paste doesn't work and there is no highlight /web search function . Despite the improvements Edge is pretty much still useless at this point IMO.

As long as they been trying to get IE xx right all these years (other than using Edge on Tard pads and phones) why they came up with this looser of a PC web browser is a mystery if not for that but not surprising OTOH maybe they will fix it ☻.

I have used Firefox for years without problems that Firefox didn't fix immediately. Until I start getting unhappy with Firefefox, I will stay where I am and which I know inside out.

Just on a strong desktop where you dont notice performance issues, on a tablet Chrome is a mess, ram and cpu usage is terrible. Also Chrome still has lots of memory leaks, especially with addons, even Hangout. Devs are ignoring bug reports since years.

I'm generally allergic to all things Google, though I can take the SE in small amounts. I remember the first time I tried Chrome and I could not find a simple 1-click favorite list/add button but instead had to try so many add-ons that could not give me this basic functionality in the way I wanted. Youtube videos also had issues. My friends facebook games didn't work right. Hated the look of it and its simplistic settings. Uninstalled it wiithin a day and don't even keep it as a backup. I use Firefox and IE. Tried Pale Moon but in the end I just felt FF was way better, faster and more competent. Used to love IE back in the day but it became my backup to FF.

Chrome is a memory hog with any open that's no lie but on a decent desktop it's hard to beat might not be so hot on an x86 tard pad otoh it's not bad on an Android phone though mine has a 4 core Snapdragon IGPU something in it .

FWIW Chrome's been fixed up quite quite a bit in the last year or two nothing wrong with F/F though

Apparently a great number of people haven't. People tend to get attached to what is the most comfortable for their own personal use and simply that other people have other preferences which for me is more about functionality and stability over how fast pages move or what additional addons are supported. Addons especially addon toolbars tend to leave the doors open for more malwares and other bugs.

What I noticed here fast was now seeing all of the Favorites converted in IE 11 from Waterfox/FF bookmarks when imported as if Edge has a specific limit on how you can have. More then once on several builds in fact not only from the physical 10 installs on drives but more frequently on the VMs where I kept running into real old IE from a 2013 backup and had to see that dumped everywhere to import a brand new html and json type as well to see all the entire backup restored on Cyberfox, FF 42, Waterfox on the VMs as well as IE 11 and yet in every case Edge ended seeing the bookmarks and unassorted folders on the toolbar with a limited amount of those as well as about 1/3 of every other browser saw restored!

At this point Edge is still in need of a lot of work and perhaps suggestions made in feedback before it can ever become a full version browser far enough along to be an adequate replacement for IE at least let alone any other browser. Some got attached to it quickly simply since it came in 10 without need for anything other then the basics while for someone like me who still needs the functions and has to depend on a stable browser I still have to find Edge is sadly lacking.

As far as comparisons Chrome along with Edge and anything newer then Opera 9.63 and 9.64 is obsolete along with Flock for not providing any type of command/menu type bar and is geared more for the non Windows type OSs! As for Firefox Waterfox has been the 64bit cousin for a number of years now and I just found I had Waterfox 9.0 still stashed away with 18.9 and newer while that is at the 40..0 at the present time. Navigator was something I kept from trying that and Safari out a few years back when examining the 8 CP and looking for some additional browser options to replace IE 10 which didn't seem to fare any better then then IE 9. Multiple IE windews would freeze up constantly just having only 2 or 3 additional windows open which was unsuitable and lead to Opera and FF being given a look at first and later coming across the 64bit cousin.

I dumped FF fast as well as Opera and a few others looked when finding Waterfox which has been in use now for almost 4yrs.! With IE 11 in 10 I only pin the 64bit version of that since some sites still require IE. The 64bit flavor of FF just introduced with FF 42 is identical to Waterfox 40 which comes as no surprise there so at this time you have either or both 64bit choices as well as the 64bit Cyberfox with the Australian Control center checked off since that was developed mainly for Australians to have their variation of FF it appears.

One of the largest annoyances with these other browsers is always trying to tweak the open in new tabs only out to see new windows open instead of tabbed browsing. When going to close up one window I ended closing multiple tabs while trying to keep the rest open which is the hinderance.

I could imagine Flock and Chrome as close to each other there! I never cared for Google anything let alone Chrome and any other browser that sadly lacks in menu and bookmarks bar options and looks like the top half of the browser has been sheared off! All you end up with is a large Tab grouping tab at top senter left.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, so if it has, just consider it a reminder:

I found a way to easily sort the shortcuts in the favorites bar.

When you do it from the bar, by dragging & dropping, it's a real fight getting them placed where you want, specially getting the ones in the drop down onto the taskbar.

I found if I open up the Hamburger Hub(favorites, reading lists, history & downloads) and
(1.) pinning it open(upper right corner),
(2.) then open the Favorites Bar folder,

(3.) and drag & drop them in there, they can be ordered smooth as silk.

If you find that they move around on their own after a while, try turning of the sync option, if it's on, or just keep adjusting until Windows "Learns" your preference after a few reboots/days(you will need a lot of patience)

I want to thank Jeff ( @BunnyJ ) and Donald ( @hTconeM9user ) for constantly saying how well Edge works for them. Otherwise I would have given up on it a while ago. Now it's working well and I only have one gripe left.
Something about software I learned a while ago, and if you are a true PC Geek(and not just an every day user) you'll understand this comment: If something works well for a few people but not for the rest, the rest have either software or hardware setup problems.

Just gave Waterfox a try after hearing a lot of good about it. Tried timing it on a few websites. 32 bit Fire Fox is clearly faster. Uninstalled.
