Well I guess that sums things up a bit! One thing thought to be Edge related turned out to be something else however. Google Search Bug Fixed After Many Internet Explorer Users Unable To Search Google

Google search was down for the count apparently! Meanwhile Cyberfox, the New 64bit Firefox which is almost a clone of Waterfox, and the latest Opera are all being given a try while Opera will go bye bye once again! Seamonkey fir the Insider VM there.

It fine plays in Chrome as well ......no different from Edge Youtube is Youtube if you know what I mean .
    https://youtu.be/0vrdgDdPApQ

I played some of these into my 1080P Sony 2nd PC screen /TV from my PC dGPU downscaled in the PC to 1080p but now I just play them at 1080p from Youtube ( it looks the same either way .on any given 4K video ) OTOH It seems some of the videos shot in 4K even downscaled at You tube > settings can sometimes look better than a 1080p native video .

OTOH I'm getting a new 4K Sony 55" in about 3 wks to replace the 40" 1080p in here so I will see what the options are with my dGPU and or if the TV's embedded Youtube app plays 4K from Youtube.

4 k drool worthy factory demo eye candy download file ...better than You tube it will look great on your Sony play it straight up on your PC and let it send it to the TV @ 1080p or convert it to 1080p format your TV supports and play from a USB .

I have a bunch of these they play very well @1080p /HDMI from the PC into my Sony . I use VLC or Daum Pot Player x64 , Windows media player chokes on them sometimes but the latest version in Windows 10 seems to do a little better .

I'm looking forward to playing these soon on this http://www.sony.com/electronics/tele...r-x810c-series

The demos will tend to look great regardless of which browser you are using since it will be the system display that matters the most. Generally demos are created to free floating as far as the aspect radios while others may see 4.3 or 16 fixed. That allows them to maintain integrity at various resolutions as well.

Microsoft Edge Not Yet a Worthy Replacement for Chrome and Firefox

Microsoft Edge Not Yet a Worthy Replacement for Chrome and Firefox, Users Claim

There are simply too many bad things, they add

Microsoft Edge is the browser that the Redmond-based tech company promised would make Internet Explorer a bad memory, but it turns out that, just like its predecessor, the new application has its very own problems.

Leaving the lack of features aside, which is clearly the key reason many people decide to stay away from it, Edge also has some performance issues that are leading to sudden crashes or freezes on a number of computers.

As you can see in these screenshots, many of those who turned to the Windows 10 Feedback app to report problems to Microsoft about Edge browser complain about the overall stability of the program. Coupled with the lack of features, this makes Edge a browser to avoid for the time being for many Windows 10 users, especially because Chrome, Firefox, and Opera all seem to work flawlessly on the new OS.

Judging a browser is a subjective thing I think. Some just like a very simple stripped down browser like Edge and others like one with bells and whistles/plug ins, FF, Chrome.. IE.. etc.

I like Edge for some things.. like this site. Is it finished.. far from it but I like the direction it's headed.

Slamming a browser that's this new is silly. Compare Edge to (Chrome,FF) when it's up to say.. version 10 or more. Keep in mind Chrome is up to v45 and FF is up to V42..
