    Why?
Is that HP screen your BIOS screen? If so, do you get any test beep codes?

My 10565 runs great since a reset from a restore point I made straightway after upgrade. I valley hoppy except for the focus problem 10 still has with the browsers Edge and IE11. Murder with a keyboard for scrolling. Any keyboarders out there with the same problem?

So do I, Jaknapceu. If we don't report how are they going to know what we think?

I don't use third party AV/Security apps; I find that Windows Defender keeps me about as safe as anything else.

I had to have StarFerret translate valley hoppy to mean very happy. She be one smart ferret!

I use Firefox, but I haven't had any problems with focus in IE or Edge (when I try it); how are you using the term, please? Do you mean a clear screen?

Thanks for the inadvertent tip, Hippsie! I've often used the arrow keys on my keyboard to move right to left, but had never thought to use them for scrolling up and down! One more way to keep me hands offen da mouse! Oh, and no problem at all with keyboard scrolling.

Hippsie, did you catch that what Jak is showing is a video? The first scene shows it "restarting" and then goes from there.

Hmmm, there's surely something wrong, but I don't know what it could be. Has to be in the Restart portion of the boot menu, which anyone would know. And that's about as far as I could get correcting the issue.

LOL! Yes, very happy like a bunny. A ferret would probably know that.

I guess I shouldn't blame 10, but browsers in 10? When opening or changing pages in either browser the up/down arrows, up/down page, and Home/End keys do not work until I gain focus by left clicking anywhere on a page, then they work. This is sporadic, though. Most times it does not work, whereas few times it does. No problems in any other program. That's the weird part about it. It's not 10 globally, but rather browsers in 10 globally. At least on the old Acer here. I hope I'm explaining myself ok.

No problems with IE11 in my 8.1 also, so it can't be hardware I would think.

    Edit:

I think I have cracked the case or at least the geek gods have via coincidence. I just played a video in a post where scrolling worked prior, played the video, and keyboard scrolling ceased work. Then shortly after I got a notification where that took focus off the browser for I noticed the Title change color as to show no focus on the browser anymore. No understanding why the vid does that though and Notification Center doesn't close, but hides and focus continues on it. I have to do an Alt/Tab to regain focus.

Never noticed this in 8.1 with notifications and vids. I'll have to do more experimenting.
