Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10565 Insider
-
This entire program is flawed. MS should be trying to fix any issues that were in the RTM. It was release way too soon so MS comes along and releases all of these new build but first they go to their partners and WZOR even gets them before the Insider Fast ring. What ever happened to the ISO's they were to provide? The only requested feed back I ever got from MS was, "How do you like Firefox?" Well the RTM works just fine for me and I will stay with it until MS upgrades it and then I will upgrade when Redstone is released. For now I am done with the Preview builds. Oh and the reason that you Did not get those updates is that they were probably already in Build 10565.
@Gary.. MS had to have a drop dead date for the OS. They can't fix everything that's wrong with the OS. No OS maker can do that. You need to understand that testing/debugging an OS is not easy and we need to be patient with the process. Just think of the issues that can exist with a program that's over 50 Million lines of code long and you get the idea of what MS is facing.
And as for the insider program and how MS is handling the new OS,, it's not flawed. It's the best thing they could have done, period. We have had a chance to test the various builds of 10 from day one on, bugs and all. Then we got to report our findings and MS took some of the advice and made changes accordingly. Does any other OS maker provide this type of service??
If you don't like the idea of a buggy insider build then don't participate. Or better yet run the RTM/Insider in a dual boot or a VM set up. I currently run a dual boot set up with the RTM/Insider and I get the best of both worlds..
Again.. YMMV

Among new stuff MS is also trying to fix stuff in general and that includes 10240, didn't you see some differences in insider builds. Once everything comes together it will spill to regular version.
+1.. MS can do two things at the same time. Enhance and fix the RTM and develop the insider builds for future enhancements. All in all it takes time and we have to be patient.

Old news. Tests have been done by Kari and show exactly what to expect.

What you don't seem to understand is that what we're testing now will potentially be included in the Service Release for Windows Build 10240 RTM sometime in November.

+1.. I fully agree.. one funny side note.
I was on a large IT project up at The Travelers Ins.. and the day after we got the system up and going my boss dropped of over 30 bug/fix requests on my desk. Just goes to show that no matter how much you test and debug things will need to be fixed.

I understand all of that but what upsets me is that MS re-branded build 10558 that was sent to their partners about a week ago and then changed nothing but the build number to 10565 and sent it to the Fast Track only Insider Group. The problem I has with 10565 is the way that it boots. I have that covered in The Insiders Forum. I do use Avast AIS so maybe that is causing it , I don't now as it worked well in prior builds. I still have an Image of It , I may try it without Avast and see what happens. MS must have had the same Drop Dead date with Windows 7 and there were no immediate problems.

Where did you get that information from? I would like to know if you have a link to prove that claim.
And your boot issue likely has no issue to do with 10 or the insider build. The OS has no connection to the boot process.
Oh and 7 was not perfect either.

Thank you, Shawn! Although I've already created mine, there will be a lot of folks very happy with this!
