Yes, but you missed one tiny little detail... As another poster already mentioned, God Mode is just SHORCUTS to classic Control Panel. So if they remove the classic Control Panel, bye bye God Mode as well! Hopefully some third party utility (Winaero?) will replace Control Panel or God Mode, if the Settings apps is not complete by then.

If/when the control panel is gone what makes you think that MS is going to make access to those features readily available to access to anyone to program a third party app/program??

You already can open them - try start ms-settings:display from command prompt for example.

The future equivalent of God Mode, will be shortcuts to controls in Settings app, assuming it is complete and you can do everything in Settings, just like you can do everything in Control Panel today. So it will still make sense to use God Mode, to skip searching our way for some specific control, but it won't be the same as current God Mode.

. . .no big deal if control panel is gone, they will replace it with settings. . .so cannot see any reason to loose any sleep, beside god mode works great. . .so, we don't need no stinkin' Control Panel. . .:). . .we have "God Mode."
I've said it before.... When CP goes away, so does GodMode.

Well, the Control Panel is broken up/split in Windows 10 but its still possible to access certain settings that it used to contain using the Command Prompt (for example, the classic Personalisation screen that used to allow you to make themes and adjust colour settings).

Is the settings feature always going to be unintuitive and complicated to navigate? Just because it's new and designed by some hotshot, doesn't mean it's any good.

    Just press

It is trivial to write a program that starts either the new or old setting screens. No-one has done it yet as everything is in flux and in any case search works fine.

Sure there will always be people who want to click through Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Disk Cleanup rather than dis....

    Don't worry about it.

As already said, it's not only a matter of preference. We just fear they might remove Control Panel before Settings is complete and we might miss some controls.
