    I'm not sure, it could be because I build my Windows "themes" around/using Aero-Lite. But the red x isn't present on all software, such as Chrome(but, that is, a special animal, isn't it).

    Let me guess. To "vote" on the poll, you needed to be using a Microsoft Account with your system. You also needed to vote through the "Feedback app".

    I don't see your point

    The feedback app is there to give feedback about what works, doesn't work, changes you want etc
    If you don't want to use it there is no point complaining on a forum if you don't like implemented features

    Not saying they will do everything in there, but the Feedback app is to, well provide feedback

    I don't think a survey or poll is going to do a thing to change MS's mind on this. Their committed to consolidating the code base and that means moving all of the CP setting to the new setting feature. The goal is to cut costs and this is one way to accomplish this.

    And I don't know if MS has stated when the CP will be totally removed from 10 and they also haven't said if they're dropping any features as well.

    I understand what it's used for, but remember, in order to use the so called "Feedback app", you need to have a Microsoft Account attached to the system.

    Most people who don't give a crap about "metro apps" or Windows Phones are more than likely to not have a Microsoft account attached to their computer.

    My point is that the only people who voted for the removal of the Control Panel were people who are actively following MS, what they do, what they will do, what they have done. Not "regular" users or business customers. Those who follow MS and enjoyed what they did with Windows 8 are much more likely to believe the "one platform for all" idea is good, and thus, they voted to eliminate the Control Panel.

    I'm sure that if MS had made a poll for W7/Vista/8 "regular" users, the results would've been much different. The way they handled the poll is pretty much like asking people attending a Democratic party conference which party they're voting for.

If you're a so called "power users" you need not use either the CP nor Settings app. All that anyone would ever need for configuration is in it > Name, Application, and Keyword columns. Knock your socks off.

    I called mine BunnyMode. Naturally a shortcut on the desktop, but since I hide my shortcuts there, I right clicked the shortcut and chose "Pin to Start" for a tile.

    I use GodMode all the time as well HG, but access it through a link in the Context Menu.

    Search is fine when I know what I'm looking for, but having a list with short descriptors is nice sometimes as well.
