    Hi

I'm glad they did it this way, this time.
I have pretty much all of my software installed in Windows 10 and I'm using it exclusively as my OS.

I didn't really want to start over from scratch again.

I've been making a system image every other day or so and have restored 3 times already.

Everything went smooth with the update and I have already made a system image of it.

It's great when it works, but if you end up with issues it can be a pain to sort them out.

So what are people with VMs doing? It feels high and dry here. I wish they would get off the Windows Update hobby horse. It just doesn't work that well.

So, it would appear that the Metro Start screen is totally gone?

I am running this on a touch laptop and see very little difference from desktop version. I haven't installed it on my tablet, can anyone tell me if they have?

I predict this windows concept will fail, as it is, I find very little about it I like

You can turn off the Start Menu and go back to the start Screen. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1...dows-10-a.html

You are incorrect, the Metro screen is there if you want it.

And how many threads are you going to repeat your 'windows is dying' BS?

I ahve tried a couple of installations now. One with an ISo (clean install) and two other via the upgrade route. Only difference in my case was that I got rid of the double photo in the login, when I used the ISO.

I did the iso. It doesn't recognize my NIC. I'm trying the install through PC Settings now. I haven't hit the reboot yet.

I am wondering as the process of adding more builds continues whether MS will make some new iso's available.

If one wishes to jump into the TP as the months pass it will be quite laborious to start from the beginning and downloading and installing all the previous versions.

I do understand as previously described that the savvy can circumvent this but many will not have the abilities/knowledge to do so.

More than likely, each successive build will be cumulative. Meaning, you only need to install the base ISO and then a single update to get the latest.
