When a window "explodes" open, part of it spills onto second monitor for a fraction of a second. I thought that odd!
(Animations are odd anyway, and useless)

VMware Player complains about OpenGL drivers, so I have to keep the animations turned off.
I normally turn most of the "special effects" off anyway.

Updating drivers in Windows is bad enough, but in Linux it's a total nightmare.
If they aren't included on the install disc, good luck finding and then installing them.

When I was helping Kari the other day, I didn't disable the animations (on the new VM) and the windows "stuttered".

Until now I had never seen the Windows 8.1 animations for opening and closing windows. I just enabled them to have a look, and they are not very pleasant. The Windows 10 ones look better, for those that like this kind of thing.
