I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this but whenever I boot up to Win 10 (after the new build update), the login screen is showing double profile pic (side by side). I'm sure it doesn't affect the OS performance but it just doesn't look nice. I will post a pic later if it still doesn't go away.
I had the same thing. Thought it would correct itself after a while.

Anyone had a good look in PCSettings?

Quite a few new items there with and asterisk beside them. I presume these are pending updates.
I can't get PC settings to open. Are they still on the right side of the screen ?

Yes. I went into my Internet profile, deleted the existing photo, refreshed the page and put the phot back again. All back to normal.
Later. Didn't work. On my next reboot, the two pictures were back again.

2 hours in and I'm confronted with my W10 dual boot screen. Select Tech Preview and the result is a big fail with the message " Windows was unable to complete the update, your PC has been restored back to its previous state".

Its a lot of work to set all this up again as a working OS from scratch by making a new ISO and all... I might sit this one out until it either looks a lot more interesting... or... well we'll see :)

I have a feeling that it was trying to update the other OS the you have on dual boot. Was Win 10 the default OS when you started the update?

W10 was the OS in use. I was using it as normal, left it for 10 minutes and when I looked it was showing the maintenance timer against the Action Centre icon. I left it thinking it was the normal defender scan and so on but it went on and on and on so I assumed it was something more. Came here to check PC and saw a new build was out and so I just left it to get on with it.

Installed last evening. download to desktop in about an hour... no big hurdles, kinda like an in-place-update. wish they would have verbose status like in-place or progress bar with msgs.

only thing I had to do was re-tweak some desktop settings... fonts, size, et al.

BTW!!!! Don't forget to do manual windows check for updates! It will fix the NASTY missing characters in the tile apps!

Side note: 9860 ate part of my AVG install, some of the services. I could not get it repaired, so uninstalled and ran AVG remover AND cherry picked all the reg entries out. I cannot get Defender to enable, no matter what I do! Any ideas? Please??? Tkx Tomcat...
