Nice piece of tech, albeit just cannot see the price to just run Windows, whatever. . .I know my iMacs are a little pricey, but been using them for twenty some years now, and yes I am running Windows 10 insider on my new 5k machine in Boot Camp. . .:)

Yeah, too pricy for somebody like me that's retired and only runs Windows and Office. If your an on the go working stiff though, it may be worth the extra cash for the performance and portability. Especially if your running some full blown CPU intensive programs. Benchmarks are showing the notepad now opens in 0.000314 seconds.

I retired early and for the past couple of decades I've earned my living by trading the stock market full time. My broker is Interactive Brokers and my trading platform runs quite nicely on my current Surface Pro 3.

I'm on the go a good bit and I require portability. My office is wherever I happen to be at the time. I'm an ardent amateur photographer and I use Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop CC in my travels and will welcome the additional speed of the graphics processor. The 3 by 2 aspect ration is also the aspect ratio of my digital cameras! I have the Office 365 subscription and with that comes unlimited OneDrive space. My data and photo library are kept on OneDrive.

With my active life style today I cannot be tied down to a desktop system so the Microsoft Surface Book was designed just for me!

That's the one I plan on getting later. Please let us know what you think, how it performs, and what if any, issues are there.

    Thanks, and good luck.

I'm very much looking forward to tomorrow morning when I pick it up. I've purchased several computers from the Microsoft Store and I always stay at the store to set things up. That way if I run in to any problems I have Microsoft support right there. And if I'm unlucky and have a major defect I don't have to go very far to return/exchange it.

Hi Lee! Your new 5k iMac is a nice piece of tech too, albeit I just cannot see the price to run OS X, whatever...
Hey, turnabout is fair play, hehe. :)

BTW, how did you get your gorgeous image on your post? I've uploaded my 100k face but I cannot figure out how to get it on my posts. It's there on my profile, but doesn't appear here.

I saw an article were a couple eats samples at costco all the time to save $2000 a year on food costs.

So therefore, I will eat samples at costco for a year, take the $2000 I save and buy myself a Surface Pro

It's even easier than that! I know where there is a sign that says $2,000 fine for trespassing. All you have to do is not trespass and take the $2,000 you saved and buy a Surface!
