I still have yet to ever use a Router , supposedly wired ethernet is going to be faster than wireless anyway and i don't find it burdensome at all .

I'm probably one of the few lol.

I have a Netgear WNDR4500 and am looking for something a little better but, to date, haven't been impressed, will look into the ones listed TechSpot.

Most wireless routers also feed into wired connections. The antique I'm currently using (D-Link DIR651) controls wired gigabit connections to 3 of my devices while supplying wifi connections for a laptop, the box I'm using for Insider Preview and a wireless phone.

asus ac68 + merlin fw = much love

Edit- Btw, if you have tmobile you can get one of these (ac68) for free with a $25 deposit. Just call and say you get crappy signal in your home. Wish this was available before i dropped $200 tbh

After reading that article and then checking user reviews on Amazon and Newegg I decided to order the TP Link C7. This router has gigabit Ethernet and (apparently) good 2.4 gHz WiFi coverage for <$90. It's not designed to stand on its' side, but it can be wall-mounted.

    Nice!

Is that out yet, or coming soon?
When it comes to internet/wireless speed, there is no such thing as overkill..

Good choice. Been using one since February this year with zero issues. Currently running the following off of it,

    one hard wired computer
    one wireless computer (2.4 Ghz)
three cell phones (all at 2.4)
three Roku's (one hard wired and two wireless at 5 Ghz)
