Here's a video you can watch to find out for yourself what's new and good in Office 365 2016.

Webinar: Favorite new features in Office 365 - Office Blogs
I have used Office since early, early version (I think Office XP). I have been using Office 365 for some time, the 2013 version. I didn't realized I could update to the 2016 version and it would be part of my current subscription. Now I have 2016 and am loving it. I used the preview version for a very long time (Since April?) and really liked it but thought, it is about to expire on the preview side, I would be back to 2013. Wow, am I happy! I like many of the enhancements. Hope others who use 2013 version are aware of the upgrade possibility.

Sounds like something I'd do, Magilla! However, since I was on the O365 Technical Preview, we were notified that O365 2016 would be released on September 22. Further, we didn't have to do anything at all . . . just let 'er rip!

    Hi there

I HATED office 2013 --went back to Office 2010 -- now using Office 2016 Pro (not the subscription version) and loving it.

    Cheers

Thanks for the information, Wynona. I have been on office 2016 insider since April but no notice that I could continue --- maybe not 0365 insider???? Could that be reason? Don't know but thanks for info.

If I'm not mistaken, you were on the Public Preview; IOW, you had a trial version of Office 365 2016 (O365 2016). The actual Office Insider Program only started sometime in late November 2015. However, had you known it, you could have just joined the regular Technical Preview with your O365 2013. :)

The actual Technical Preview (TP) of O365 2016 began sometime in July 2014 and lasted until September 22, 2015. In order to join the Technical Preview when it started, you had to have a valid subscription to Office 365 2013. These rules were finally relaxed when the Public Preview was announced.

Those of us on the TP asked for an Insider Program for Office 365 when the September 22 release was announced. Our wishes were granted . . . probably because Microsoft recognized the value of the Windows Insider Program, not because we asked. They were probably planning it all along. :)

It's never too late to learn something! I did just awhile ago! I found out my ProPlus subscription is E3! Which is a jump or three above Home Premium. Which keeps me out of the regular O365 Insider Program (which I did know but don't like). I have to be on First Release (the "kinda" O365 Insider Program for Business). BTW, O365 and Office 365 are interchangeable.

So, what this means is that I had to change Click2Run values in the Registry. Now I have Office Build 16.0.6366.2025! Whoopeeeeee!

Oh, yeah, I'm also happy to have access to all these experts. "such as you" Thanks.
