Is user and computer the same thing, for example, I have 4 computers, could I get the 1 user subscription for $6.99 a month and put it on all 4 of my computers?

No, that is the personal edition for 1 pc. You will need the Home edition, good for 5. Then again just realized the sarc smiley so umm...

Nope, but you are a prime candidate for the Home Premium subscription Instead of $7 per month, spend $99 for the year.

    I am AMAZED at Microsoft!!!!!!!!!!!!.
For the FIRST time I can remember, we, here in Australia, are going to be able to buy Office 2016 for business use @$299.00 AUD?
I looked at the cost listed by MS and New Egg and converting the $229.00 USD to our dollar is $325.00, I am truly astounded.
usually we get the Australia tax tacked on but this time, we are actually being looked after.

So many options, think my head is about to explode

plus I also have installed OpenOffice and FreeOffice, trying to figure out this whole big mess.
From the reviews that I've seen, the new Kingston Office (now know as WPS Office 10) is the office-alternative version that is MOST compatible with MS Office. You should take a look at that.
