Post 629 shows him to be a Member of the Insider Program since July 29, Hippsie, which combined with Simrick's statement, sent me into the "did he get caught in the space" comment/question.

Wouldn't he be getting messages about activation by now if it weren't? Both machines were upgraded from Win 8.1, so activation shouldn't be a problem.

He may have somewhere back in this thread. I haven't tried to find his original posts because of the length of this thread. We'd have to check with LifeWulf for that, so I'll ask him.

I'm running 10240, 10547 and 10558 all on the same machine so, MS is probably monitoring it saying: "Screw him, we're not gonna waste the bandwidth!"

At Hippsie's suggestion, I've set Lappy 15 with 10240 to enter the fray and see if she can get Insider builds on that partition. I set her up yesterday evening, so probably not enough time allowed yet. I just checked and so far nothing.

As an FYI, Lappy 17 is a dual boot system set up with 10240 RTM (now asking for Insider builds) and Insider Build 10547. We'll see if I get any cooperation from her or Microsoft.

If he gets an error after running sfc /scannow, he can type the following command which will put a text file on his desktop:

findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"

I can evaluate it for him to see if there are any issues of consequence.

The next question I would ask is, did he run any "privacy" programs (like OOshutup). Because if he did, he won't be getting any insider builds ever again until he clean installs.
