Well my machine on 10547 just hangs when updating now, it's not limping anymore it's half dead. I'm not going to turn it on again until another build comes along, I could do a clean install but I'm hoping a new build will fix it, if not I'll do a clean install. This is definitely the worst build in some time, for me anyway.
No problems on my other computers that aren't on the fast ring.

Add me to the list of happy customers. Been using win 10 on my main machine since Oct as well. Even with 5 comps on it I haven't see any instability.

I have done upgrades for five other people and their systems have no problems either.

But if I did have problems I would do a fresh install. My main comp has had a fresh install but not because it was unstable.
Whats cool is they say you can do a clean install from within window 10 settings >update>security >recovery now . I havent tried it but I'm sure I will at some point I've used DVD's so far . The Elitecbook has a clean unistalland this one has the test buld and an 7 x64 > RTM uograde fromas fairly recent win 7 clean instal on a new hdd the other one was getting bad sectors and hosed the Win 7 OS partition but I was able to use my Linux Ubuntu drive and recover evertything and put it where it belonges on the new Windows 7 install after the apps were installed ofc .

Yes, but you still have to insert the Media for a clean install.

This test buld 10547 could have been better (more stable ) but mines not terrible or misbehaving very often but it does mis behave without warning now and then .

IIRC in Gabriel Aul's blog at MS or on Twitter I think he says the next build fixes a lot of bugs but they said that last time and the time before and so on also ........must be the party line ( or the truth ☻) .

Again saw this on Twitter :

ISO image already created, USB install media created. Nice!
Thanks for the problems Microsoft :-(
Yesterday evening (28/09/2015 here in Australia) I upgraded my Insider Preview builds on two different machines (which took forever and a day) to build 10547. On both of these computers I had a "screensaver" set to trigger after 10 minutes. And now, shit hits the fan. The screensaver (3D Text) runs after 10 minutes but when I go to resume back to my desktop I get a black screen with a movable cursor and no way to get back to my desktop without a hard reboot using power button. But that's not all because in their wisdom the developers (pack of ****ers) have removed all access to the "screensaver" settings in build 10547 which leaves me stuck between a rock and a hard place and no option to turn off "screensaver". Now, to top all that off, Microsoft helpdesk are refusing to help me and are telling me (after all this time running preview builds and providing feedback and getting secondary support) that they can't assist me because I'm running a test version (Insider Preview Build) of Windows 10. Go Figure?

So true BillyBob. It just looks like Microsoft are heading into a big black hole and every build that they release comes with its own set of problems :-(

Well, this is exactly what you should expect as a Insider. You should be technical enough to solve your problems and roll back to a previous version. If you don't understand this then why are you an Insider?

I've given them feedback, I've reported problems, I've done clean installs, now it's time to see if THEY can fix THEIR problems, if this is the future, they have to minimise their bugs BEFORE releasing a new release.

I can fix it, but what's the point if they can't.
