Sorry Count, but you're half right. It was Monday afternoon here in the States. Tuesday for Europe.

Yup. Today is Monday in the US where Microsoft lives. :) So, it was released on Monday, not Patch Tuesday.

Edit: What was I thinking? Yesterday was Monday in the US where Microsoft lives; today is Tuesday in the US. Sigh . . .

I'll fire up my VM shortly and take a look.
    Sir:
When you say "my VM" om message above, which VM software would be easiest an secure for a beginner to start using as a learning tool.
Is there a tutorial that I should read and learn more about ? Thanks for your time. Clif M.

    Hello Cliff, :)

Usually Hyper-V would be a good choice in Windows 10. :)

Thanks so much for the reply - as I am brand-new at playing with VM but I want to learn enough about it, and be able to use it, so I will be doing and learning. I will be digging into the Tutorial and learning about it.

All be safe and I will try not to me a PITA. thanks. Cliff M.

    From Preview to Release?

I had (I suppose naively) expected that once W10 was on general release our Preview builds would automatically upgrade - but apparently not. I'm still on 10547 on two of my PCs, whereas my 8.1Pro PC upgraded to W10Pro flawlessly weeks ago

agree, hyper v is - except for network connection - very straight forward, and, on new software - which any win 10 build is - has ms support
