Microsoft pushes Windows 10 upgrade to PCs without user consent

The actual 10 update I still have to identify as far as number since the other that was hidden did return but was only for the Get 10 app not the actual download itself that works as the installer. 7 is set to the "Let me choose when to download and install" setting and still saw the failed actually 3rd failed since on the first day when direct download to install over the temp install kept failing I tried running it over the still present original 7 install now needing to see a clean install itself from wear and tear since June 2013.

Upon just looking again after hiding the KB3035583 the second time I went into the Restore hidden updates and found two listings for the exact same update present showing you have to expect multiple occurences until the MS Play Catch Up takes effect?!

Just had a third W8.1 rig with the "optional" W10 upgrade selected by default....

Blame MS, not the helpless ordinary users.

Most users don't know how to configure their router firewall.
It seems like it is the only way to defeat MS' attempt to foist malware and security/privacy "holes" risks is to disable the update service entirely.

MS knows exactly what it is doing.
Annoy people long enough and they'll just accept W10 to get rid of the malware popup.

I though that it was a crime (in the US) to tamper with someone's computer system.

lehnerus, what do you mean? They have already tried to upgrade it, but didn't/couldn't enable updates so how will they be able to update it? Make me pay for what.......They can't make me pay for anything I didn't order or buy, they can only cut off my service like a utility company can. MS and I can go round and around with this as long as I can reformat my PC. I can also try Ultimate Tweaker, it has an option to remove all windows update software.

If they do what you say to a lot of people, MS will be in serious trouble. Why would they risk that? A lot of people no longer trust MS. My neighbor told me today if they mess with his computer he will buy a Mac.

Before I will let anyone push me around like that I will just unplug the thing.

Chances are that could only happen to pirated versions of W7 (and the W8 series, assuming there are pirated versions).

Well then it won't happen to me.

I had the forced update to Windows 10 on my 4 main Windows 7 PC's. I thought I had it set to not update to 10 with a registry setting and the required updates removed but this Tuesday that all changed as the only update offered was to "upgrade" to windows 10. I could shut down and install updates but who know if that included the 10 BS. I was furious and it took me until 2 AM Wed AM to remove the crap as it kept coming back.
