While downloading VLC Media Player, I read a few of the comments by those who had tried it.
There were several complaints about its playback volume/quality.
I went through it's setups, like the Equalizer and Audio Compressor and got pretty good audio.

Then I found the "Zoom Media Player"
    http://www.inmatrix.com/files/zoomplayer_download.shtml
and after setting it's own Equalizer, I had a lot more audio than with VLC.

I don't play music often, but when I do I want to Rock The House!

So, if y'all find VLC not to your liking, give "Zoom" a try. Different strokes for different folks. :)

I still can't remove WMC. I tried using the built in uninstaller from the folder on the desk top but,
    it will not remove it.

I found it in windows > ehome. When I try to delete it, it says I need permission as Trusted installer.

I can't change the permission as they are grayed out.

VLC doesn't amount to much! The other AIMP download posted earlier however is a nice pick but strictly for audio. With Zoom just remember you have all of 30 days before buying it or removing it as a shareware. MediaPlayer Classic is a free one there without any time limit. Plus the compatibility troubleshooter comes up with Zoom Player while not seen with the others at all and MediaPlayer Classic was based off of WMP 10 for XP and not a problem.

OUCH! It's perhaps a good thing it wouldn't go on here for some reason if you are running into a number of issues. The Folder Access Denied is typical of the UAC and Windows Firewall if those are enabled. With the av software I use here the first thing I take care of is seeing those two turned off! VIPRE is already an overprotective school nanny at times! "he said what?"

Have you tried removing it while booted in Safe Mode? That will eliminate the worry of any active processes preventing removal while in a normal session! The other thing of course is are you logged into an MS account simply using the sign into local? That will bring up some run as administrator prompts.

    @ COMPUTIAC

Did you run the uninstall cmd from within the full folder as Admin?

I'm signed in as admin. never had this problem before I installed this thing.
I did try using Revo Pro but it would only remove the desktop file folder's.

Hi Edwin, yes I did. Nothing has worked so far. I found where it was after looking for a file location.

The original WMC was intended to be embedded in Windows. You may want to look at the Programs & Features to see if you find it listed and can turn it off there. That was a passing thought about this.

I looked there first and it was not listed.

Edwin, on a whim I tried the uninstaller again just now and this time it did more than just flash.
I will have to look further to see if its gone now.

I'm aware of VLC as well as MediaPlayer Classic which I won't use either for audio however as I would WMP. VLC is multi-OS as well. :)

That's a freebie found at the Windows Store there as well as on the web. But it can rather limited as well. Back when 7 was new and perhaps before 7 with Vista I looked at it but not what I was looking for.

As for this flavor of WMCenter being seen the interest is simply finding what is keeping it from going on. Now that the other project has worked out ok I have a few to try disabling a few things to see if that will solve it or not.
sorry to everyone for being a noob, but does anyone have a different link then that mega link, as for some reason my computer cant download the file. is there another place where i can download this wmc file from please. and once again sorry for being a complete noob!!
