Gee, I use good old WMP for all of those things. Yes both VLC and WMP have equalizers, but WMP also has the SRS effects to boost bass and such. I've just never liked VLC. Anything I can't play in WMP, I go to MPC-HC where everything works.
I had WMC on one XP machine and I never used it so never bothered with it after that. I haven't even tried Groove.
As far as I know Media Center was never ever included in Windows 10. If it's installed in Windows 8.1 it's removed during the upgrade to Windows 10. This is a hack to add it back to Windows 10. I'm just wondering if anybody tried this trick in 10240 Consumer Release or if it's just meant for Insider builds. I haven't gone to the MDL site yet. Maybe I'll go have a look see. A lot of the posts there just say you have to be a member to view this and I'm not all that interested in signing up to a site like that. I'm actually surprised its still out there.
Never mind it was just my way of thinking.
- gotta say, Groove runs really well - and it syncs flawlessly with OneDrive, Xbox One, and Win10 Mobile..
- it's a good piece of kit..
- I still use WMP most of the time, though
- it's been around a long time, and I really dig the enhancements..
- particularly like the presets on the graphic equaliser
- WMP wired up to surround-sound speakers at massive volume (!!)
- lovin' it..!!
