Seriously?
When Windows 10 reaches the end of support, Microsoft will no longer provide bug fixes for issues, security fixes for vulnerabilities, time zone updates, or technical support for problems that might occur. Our session reviewed the options available including Windows 11, Windows 365, or a Windows 10 ESU.

Plan for Windows 10 EOS with Windows 11, Windows 365, and ESU
Let's talk about the key points
- Windows 10 EOS (End of Support) is October 14th, 2025.
- Consider Windows 11 for eligible PC's using Windows Autopatch or Microsoft Intune and leverage the FastTrack App Assure Program
- Migrate to the cloud and subscribe to Windows 365
What is Windows 365
Windows 365 is a cloud-based service that automatically creates a new type of Windows virtual machine (Cloud PCs) for your end users. Each Cloud PC is assigned to an individual user and is their dedicated Windows device. Windows 365 provides the productivity, security, and collaboration benefits of Microsoft 365.
Extended Security Update program for Windows 10
While we strongly recommend moving to Windows 11, we understand there are circumstances that could prevent you from replacing Windows 10 devices before the EOS date. Therefore, Microsoft will offer Extended Security Updates.
For Windows 365 customers, ESUs will be provided for the Windows 10 devices that connect to a Cloud PC running Windows 11 at no additional cost.

So basically what they are saying with that statement is if your computer is not capable to run windows 11 officially then use windows 365 vm on your win 10 PC which is windows 11 in the cloud and needs a subscription.
I swear Microsoft sometimes does my head in.
Subscription model is set to boom in 2025 and beyond not just with windows across the whole IT landscape. We have Streaming services to thank for that. its also set to boom in gaming too even though it was already a thing but i mean its coming back around and they are trying to push it especially Microsoft Activision.
10 EOL has sub model all over unless you want to go to 11 locally.
End goal get people to host their data in the cloud and cloud based computing is a money faucet by big business. Tied into AI as well the leading area of money atm all the models cost money at some point in the chain so basically if you use something like this then you are paying towards that AI funding with your sub all the while they are using the AI on your data.
Looks like I will be without bug fixes, security fixes, time zone updates, and technical support...
Imagine if they started selling Windows as a segmented feature set, so like similar to expansion packs for games. You get the base windows for free which sucks but to unlock certain features you have to sub to various expanisons.
Sub today and you get not only one expansion pack you get two for the price of one and at reduced cost sub now!!!!
oh yeah they already do that.
I did read it before i even posted just so i knew exactly what they were talking about. I did look at it again just now because you mentioned this in case i missed something. From what i am reading it is about windows 10 EOL for all customers.
365 does tie in to Azure because its a cloud service so you can manage a net of 365 users, basically what they are saying there is that if you want to admin users then you can do that. 365 is virtualized windows 11 Just because they say terms like enterprises does not detract at all from what i am saying.
Those call to action style flyers that they release are hard to understand until you read other texts. I struggle to understand them all the time because they don't always make sense at first glance.
They are saying that 365 on window 10 is another option opposing staying on 10 with ESU.

Why because they want to? why do they want 365 i am not really sure it does not make sense in this context you don't need windows 11 cloud vm if you are already running 11 locally i am sure there is other reasons to use a vm in the cloud but overall most ppl won't require that.
Subs right in the OS though and we know that MS wants to target consumers to subscribe because it generate lots of money.
On the flip side most consumers are sick of subs, that software you use that is a sub model but you have to pay for each new revision of the software with a base price is getting old, sometimes even further its buying the software outright with a entry fee and then subbing after that for extended lifetime support. 3D apps are expensive af on a sub model just one example.
Digital media is also a factor now more than ever we have digital media not physical this brings down inflation not raises it. But inflation is a snowball so everything just keeps on getting expensive now more than ever. Sub models are 100% incentivized revenue raising.
Windows is set to potentially go full sub in its entirety.
