    @PanosG

    That looks like the error that people were getting for KB5034441 on January 9th.

    If WU is trying to download and install KB5034441, that may be what's causing the problem.

    The problem has been reported also with previous update. It is running out of space in the Recovery Partition.
    Can you show the size of your recovery partition and how much free space there is in it. Other users had to increase the size of the Recovery Partition to get over this problem.

    Successful install on 5 computers, 3 desktops, 2 laptops. I laptop did have SFC errors but were repaired. Interestingly the KB5034441 update installed on the laptops without any error message or action on my part, this was the first attempt to install on the laptops. I had previously installed the KB5034441 update on the desktops but had to manually enlarge the Recovery Partition to do so.

    Encouraged by your success, I just unhid KB5034441 after successfully installing KB50334203 & running a SFC (which was clean). KB5034441 still fails to install with the same error, so I've rehidden it. I suspect your machine would have installed it successfully anyway (as it did on a few of mine, without altering partitions or anything).

    The latest CU released on January 9th, is .3930
    The CU Preview released on January 23rd, is .3996
    We were all on .3930 until we installed the CU Preview... today.

    You should see the CU Preview in Windows Update.

    For example... I use WAU Manager and it doesn't show "optional" updates.
    A CU Preview is an optional update.
    Thanks - yes just been searching and found the relevant MSN page that answered it just before seeing your reply.
    Apologies again.

    the error is generated by the "KB5034441" update. see this thread:

    KB5034441 Security Update for Windows 10 (21H2 and 22H2) - Jan. 9

    in the windows-support article for the update, there is a link for a windows-support webpage with instructions for enlarging the recovery-partition, to resolve the problem. i followed the instructions to enlarge the recovery-partition, which solved the problem, but some people are opting to not enlarge the recovery-partitions on their computers.
