For anyone who have pressing need to fix KB5034441 error 0x80070643:
Dont change anything in your system. It is not your problem or your fault. Just wait until Microsoft resolve this issue.
    This is my feeling.

Further to my earlier posts, KB5034441 installed quietly on it's own on one of the four win 10 machines it failed on earlier - this was without any re-attempt to install it manually (I saw no point as this approach had failed on 2 other machines) or doing anything to bitlocker or recovery partitions.

Hopeful that it had been fixed back end, I just tried on the other 3 it failed on. No go.... same error code on those (which are all HP 10th gen machines, though I doubt that has anything to do with it, as the XPS is also a 10th gen & also has bitlocker enabled).

I'll leave it to do like the Dell XPS & just work at some point, or wait until it is pulled & replaced by MS.

Here is mine, with 2 options?? (I believe the RP is the far left one that needs to be expanded?) 1. Expand that. 2. Presume just delete that partition and the one on the far right? Then expand the empty areas.???? [I have mini tool partition Wiz]

First... do this and find out which is the correct recovery partition..
    Which recovery partition to keep?

I'm guessing the one on the far right is the correct one.

We need to see the Disk that has Windows installed on it.

If you actually don't have a valid Recovery partition, then you don't need to worry about this update.

This is what the reagentc /info command will show if you don't have a Recovery partition...

I've seen that over a dozen times today . In fact in spite of having a 590MB partition hidden and labeled as such it showed as not having one.

What's the down side of not having a valid WindowsRE partition?

I haven't had one for three years.

But if you do this... it should allow you to delete the recovery partitions, and then create one.

To find out which is the correct Recovery partition, open a command prompt as Admin...

    1. reagentc /disable
    2. Delete all Recovery partitions
    3. reagentc /enable

When you do step #3 it will create a Recovery partition.
When you add to the new Recovery partition... you should end up with about 900-1000MB Recovery partition

Then you can do the security update.

But I still haven't seen a Disk Management screen shot of the Disk that has your Windows install on it.

It's Disc 0 in post 55. For some reason they show Windows (Partition 1) in the block diagram but not in the upper text section.
