    Isn't this a sign of things to come?

    As the BBC is short of cash (perhaps because they pay top presenters too much e.g. Mr Lineker), won't it be forced to use such tools to cut corners now?

    Significant numbers have started to cancel their BBC license fee, and reports of illegal streaming grow.

    Will news presenters perhaps be reduced to ageless digital representations, paid a nominal fee?
