I have had 2 Event 131 errors today, 6 in the last 24 hours on this computer since the update. This compares with 881 for the last 7 days. They have not completely stopped but are way down from before the update. My other 2 computers are similar. Not completely gone but almost.
Did You try to Change Device Installation Settings to No? I'm not sure to try this or just wait for MS to fix it.

I changed it to No 2 days before the update and it did work. The 881 number would have been much higher if I had not changed the setting. I changed it back to Yes before I did the update to see if it was fixed. The 2 Event 131's I had today were shortly after I turned the computer on this morning, have not had and more since then. If I only have a couple errors I will leave it on Yes.

    hi curlysir

this other person said the following from here:

    Hello

For me the problem with event ID 131 was NOT solved by update KB5033372. I also still have many of alerts with Event ID 200, 201 and 202.

I had hoped that the errors and warnings would finally be fixed with update KB5033372, but unfortunately that is not the case. Would have been too good...

    Frank
just wondering why are some other people still having those event id 131 & similar problems even with KB5033372 but you and I are "not" encountering such problems after installing the KB5033372 update.

^^Still getting dozens of these errors every reboot, even since this latest update. Haven't seen this issue for at least a couple of years, and last time it eventually "went away on its own" after several weeks .
As usual, tried both of the DeviceMetadataServiceURL links in the registry that have worked for others, but no change, and these "fixes" never worked for me anyway.

Ended up just turning off the Auto Device App/Icons setting again, and they're all gone. Think I'll just leave it off. My hardware hasn't changed for ages, so there's no real need for the repeated polling imo.

    Sure thing.

Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Select the Hardware Tab, and then the Device Installation Settings button.
Click No and then Save Changes.

the Windows 10 media creation tool recently seems to obtain updated refreshed Win10 22H2 ESD install media that has the KB5033372 (build 19045.3803) update integrated

(consumer en-us x64 esd download) (consumer en-us x86 esd download)

gonna reinstall Win10 22h2 on some of my pcs by using the in-place upgrade install method after creating the 19045.3803 usb install media from these new esds
