I didn't get any updates downloaded on my computer today. Do they still come out at 1pm eastern time? I have the latest Windows 10 system installed.

I just got the updates now. Stuck on 5 percent downloading for the past ten minutes. Not moving at all.

It should've downloaded everything by now.

This process is currently running, not sure if it's preventing the update from downloading or not though.

    Just a moment....

This update took an age to install for me, three times the install progress apparently stopped, for around 15 minutes each time.
There was still disk activity, heaven knows what it was doing for all that time!
One small cosmetic difference I've noticed is that some of the entries in the Start Menu now have 'System' underneath them.

Maybe unrelated but after this update I ran a SFC scan and got my first error ever but luckily it was repaired successfully.

    It's probably related but unimportant.
Anything could have caused it. The SFC error could have already been there before you did today's update.

SFC keeps a log in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log, but as usual it's in Microspeak.

If SFC ever throws an error that it can't fix... just follow the sfc /scannow run with...

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

There's an "open app" button when you search for a program now.

As for the download/reboot. It was slowwww again this month. The reboot was also slow with a variety of "The winlogon notification subscriber <TrustedInstaller> took (x) second(s) to handle the notification event (CreateSession)" warnings.

there were some ServiceHang WER events in the Event Viewer too

EDIT: the laptop also took awhile on the download/reboot. The Reboot went longer since the NET update needed a reboot on the laptop which means a LONGGGG cleaning up process. The NET did not require a reboot on the desktop.

It took an unusually long time searching for updates, but once found it was fairly quick, SFC found nothing to repair.

Hi, does this add the "System" badge/label some report seeing underneath Start Menu Apps after the previous preview update this is said to incorporate?

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

    It did for me.

Although... yesterdays patch for Windows 11... removed them on Win 11.
