I could not find it in the update catalog so I downloaded it with WUMgr.
KB5001716.zip
The downloaded file's fullname had been
windows10.0-kb5001716-x64_af2a11098441f139526b0fd085ed3ac8a5a196f0.cab

I got the same failed and installed Both on the same date And it shows installed in the Control Panel Programs and Features
Maybe MS made a mistake?? is that possible?
here's what I did..
Step 1: go to add/remove programs, find and uninstall 2024-03 (it'll be near the bottom of most lists)
Step 2: check for updates again (or press "try again")
Step 3: the updater finds *both* versions, installs 2023-10 first, then installs 2024-03, bang bang boom, no errors
Now... is it possible that it'll find 2023-10 tomorrow? sure.. they already pushed updates that spawned errors because it was trying to install an obsolete or badly dated update.
But, for the time being, the plan worked
I see, so this is not the same issue as KB5034441 is having then
(where people's Recovery Partition is too small).
KB5001716 installed successfully on 6 March, but then tries to re-install (x5) and keeps failing. Can I use wushowhide to remove this irritation, or can this affect the successful installations of 6 March 24 and 4 October 2023?
What is happening here?
Event Viewer error report:
Product: Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB5001716) -- A later version of Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB5001716) is already installed. Setup will now exit.
=================================
My problem was resolved when I'm uninstalling the first WU and then from WU I'm reinstalling again.
