    Anyone else's Settings panel super slow to search for settings now? Mines now needing to load a few seconds before something is found.
    Good day.
    Mine seems fine. No delay at all.

    Mine takes longer to load the front page every time now, about two seconds longer and that's very noticeable. Navigating the subpages seems the same as before. Also the browser settings recomendations link on the "banner" of the settings front page has been removed, and the placing of the rest has shifted to the right slightly. The installed updates subpage also seems different now, the updates list is now aligned to the left, I think it was somewhat centered before.

    I skipped august's updates and only now installed the NET. 4.8.1 version so who knows where those changes came from. I did notice after the reboot that a part of the taskbar seemed to re-render, it flashed black under the pinned icons. Maybe that's NET. related?

    Same here, few second pause with a gear icon in the center of the window.
    Not that big of a deal, but noticeable for sure.

    Another thing... Does anyone happen to know of a Group Policy or Registry tweak one can do to remove this garbage "Windows Backup" feature MS has forced upon it's Windows 10 users?

    I'm referring to this right here FYI;

    As well as to remove the entry in the Start Menu;

    For those finding Settings slow to open after this update (mine isn't) in a couple of related threads it seems that this service not running may be responsible. Please have a look at it and post back what you find. Thanks.

    I noticed this pop up a while back. Cannot remember when. I wonder if this is the culprit for all our machines occasionally refusing to shut down because of a task still running. Am not in front of any of them now but it is some kind of back up maintenance task. Doesn't happen every time but enough to be annoying. Just click on shut down anyway when presented with the message and machines then obediently shutdown (or restart)
