Has anyone figured out how to remove the 'Windows Backup' entry from the start menu with this new update?
Can't find any entry in 'Get-AppxPackage' in PowerShell, nor any related shortcuts I see in the different start menu folder locations.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

New known issue. See first post for more details.

Microsoft received reports about an “UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR” error

Microsoft investigates Windows (KB5029351, KB5029331) Unsupported Processor BSOD crashes - Neowin

Browsing through Feedback Hub, it seems that MSI motherboards, mainly from Intel's 600 series (Z690) and 700 series (Z790), are the ones where the issue is infesting the most, though it is possible the problem is there on other OEM motherboards too.

Since installing this update, An icon on my desktop stopped responding (PuranDefragGUI.exe). It says it's blocked by an administrator. I can run it fine from command prompt or from within Total Commander.

UPDATE: Today is working fine again, so the usual suspect must be some börked Windows Defender update...

only way is to uninstall the KB5029331 update (it appears this update installs the WindowsBackupClient.exe file onto the \Windows\SystemApps\MicrosoftWindows.Client.CBS_cw5n1h2txyewy\ folder and there's no easy way of getting rid of this w/out removing this cumulative update)

uninstalling KB5029331 to remove that backup app is only a temporary solution as it may be included in the next cumulative update coming Tue. Sept. 12 and future updates after that

maybe because Microsoft temporarily halted/stopped distribution of the Win10 KB5029331 and Win11 KB5029351 updates thru windows update due to the "unsupported processor" bsod problem a few days ago and now MS is starting to offer it again
