Finally, Cortana in Canada! Now I wonder how long before I actually see it in the consumer release?
As we shared in July, we have been working very hard to make Cortana available in more markets and languages. Today, we will begin rolling out Cortana to Insiders on Windows 10 Insider Preview builds 10532+ as an optional download to Insiders in Japan and in English for Insiders in Australia and Canada. We also have an early version in English for Insiders in India, which will be updated with an improved voice later this month. With these rollouts, we hope to learn a lot from your feedback as we continue to improve the experience and refine it for each market.
Later this year Cortana will also be available first to Windows Insiders in Brazil and Mexico, and in French in Canada.
Thanks,
g

Finally, Cortana in Canada! Now I wonder how long before I actually see it in the consumer release?
I'm in Canada but I've been using Cortana since launch (had location set to US.) I think I'm gonna stick with the US version, as it will most likely be superior to the others.
Hey I just got a little Windows Insider popup alert thing that told me Cortana is now being rolled out to Windows Insiders in some of the countries that don't have it. E.g. Australia, Japan, India etc.
My system hasn't received the actual download yet, but I'm super keen to check it out when it comes...
Given it's in 10532, does anyone have a good guess of when Cortana Canada will be in the consumer release? For those of us who want it and "falsely" have our location set to U.S. while we wait, how does that work anyway? Would it only update if I was set to English Canada or would there be an update regardless of current location and maybe I have to read somewhere that I can now set my location properly and Cortana Canada will kick in?
How can I get 10532+ built ? XD I really want to use Japan Cortana
Do I need to upgrade into inside ? and if I upgrade into inside can I get out from inside ? and my windows 10 still active ?
I did it. I opted in to get build 10525. Had issues and did a Roll Back to 10240. Then opted out and 10240 was activated just like it was before I had opted in. If you opt out and stay on build 10525 or 10532 I would say activation will time out on you. The watermark likely won't go away either.
@alphanumeric
That mean even if I enter windows insider and I leave my windows 10 still active ? :O
If you opt in to receive insider builds, and upgrade to an insider build, say 10532. You will get a watermark on your desktop saying "Preview" or something similar, and an activation expiry date. Each new build you upgrade to after that extends the expiry date. As far as I know, any time you want you can clean install back to the consumer version of Windows 10 and be activated like you are now. I decided to do the roll back to save some time and test it out. I had to do a reset after that to get everything working correctly. I had some blank tiles on my Start Screen after doing the roll back.
EDIT: If you opt in, then update to 10532, then opt out. No you will not stay permanently activated. Activation will then time out as far as I know.
