    I'm still a insider ,and use IE11 ,just prefer it to any of the others ,, the other day I got a popup asking me why I'm still using IE and not Edge ,and gave a multiple choice of answers I think , I do try using edge from time to time ,, I started making some personal touches to it ,in regards to Favorites and addons and such ,one day I will likely use it more

    Not only does Edge have all the problems listed before, but it has another major stumbling block.

    When creating websites, so many developers use HTML, Javascript, PHP and JQuery;
    It seems, like it's predecessor (IE11 & IE10) Edge does not support JQuery routines, which is a huge, huge downside for this browser. While IE10 had some problems with JQuery, and were a little worse in IE11, Edge it appears seems to top both of them.

    At times I am amazed at how Microsoft can get it so wrong, do they not understand there is a world beyond their little walls.
    I didn't know that there were browsers that support JQuery!

    JQuery is a JavaScript library, and all browsers support JavaScript. I have never looked in the JQuery library to see the kind of JavaScript code they use, but for now, all the JQuery instructions I have used in my websites work on all current browsers, even Edge.

    But I have to confess, I only use JQuery for the past 2 years now, so maybe there are some routines in it that aren't supported by IE11 or Edge, but I haven't stumbled on them yet.

    In fact, since IE11, I can now make websites without the need of extra CSS or whatever, to make it work crossbrowser. Since IE11 and HTML5, I started to make websites that only support IE9 and above. Anyone with an older browser, get the advice to switch to another brand of browser by me.

    In the past, it really was troublesome how much extra code I needed to add to make it work in IE8- as it did in all other browsers. However, since IE9, and especially IE11 and Edge, they have a great support for HTML5/CSS3. And to be honest, I never have had trouble with JavaScript, and as an extension, with JQuery.

    You're probably more advanced in your code than me, but at my level, which is rather advanced, as well; I never ran into a problem with the websites I created with all current browsers.

    UPDATE:

    I just found a nice page on the JQuery website: Browser Support | jQuery

    If any JQuery routine doesn't work, you need to contact them so they can fix it. I use JQuery 2, and they only give support for IE9+ for it. So... it's a good thing I also only give support for my websites for IE9 and up.

    Yes, while JQuery is a library, misworded, I should have stated that aspects are not supported for Edge at this time. My point is, that forever and a day, it has always been a nightmare writing code for IE. Edge is an improvement, but seems to still carry a lot of previous IE history with it.

    Honestly, I am at the point I don't care if things work in IE, or Edge, I have spent half my life trying to ensure things work in IE, now I no longer bother with it. I will test it, if it works it works, if it doesn't I am not going to run down the problem. But, I am not writing as I used to. Mine is more client specific (in-house use) and stick pretty much to Chrome and Google analytic's. Firefox and Chrome have minor differences, but easy enough to troubleshoot.

    Fix the ZOOM problem

    Fix the ZOOM problem and I would be able to use it more. They need to change the zoom to 10% increments instead of 25%. Similar to Chrome and Firefox. I can live with a couple of the other problems. I won't be happy but I have a better chance of using it.
