    To me it looked like a welcome screen telling me what was new, not a screen for choices I have to make to continue. It might even have mentioned that it was ready, but I am not sure. I closed it normally, so it should not be an interruption of ongoing installation. And as set, the PC run at least some time (maybe half hour or so) after that, and shut down normally without mentioning "update in progress, do not switch off".

    Tried to connect the OS SSD to a different PC as second drive, but no success, cannot assign a drive letter.

    Any other suggestions to get this update removed or working?

    update: moved the problems with the Media Creation Tool to a separate thread to keep this strictly about the messed up update.
