The latest Insider build 8.95 was fully released and this is what we were working on.

What’s new?

Bing in Skype on all Platforms. The new Bing in Skype preview experience uses the latest advancements in AI technology to provide you with the most real-time answers and insights. Find out more here.

Chat with Bing individually or add it to groups to get AI-powered answers, right within the context of your conversations. If you want to try it yourself, sign up for the Bing preview waitlist by signing into Skype or at Search



New launch screen animation with the Skype Logo on Android. This new seamless launch experience is visible from when you launch the Skype app, until when your Skype app content is displayed.



Control your Skype-to-Skype call from the Touch Bar on Mac. Control includes; mute/unmute, toggle video, end call. Control is enabled: if the user is the call initiator, as soon as the call is initiated, and even before the other user answers and during the call. If the user is a call receiver, control is enabled: only when the call is answered.

Stability improvements

Bug fixes:

• If a user received a pdf with a long name, it would push out the share button from view on all Platforms
• Crashing when you click 'Translate' on Mac
• Account was 'forgotten' regardless of what you clicked in the Sign Out dialog on Desktop

As usual, all new features are rolling out gradually over the next couple of days so if you don’t see them right away, just check again soon.
