Microsoft Brings Their Spying Features From Windows 10 to 7 & 8

Did you ever expect them to? If that's your standard, you would never have purchased any Windows version.
How about Caterpillar Tractor, Tupperware, Organization X, or the politician of your choice?
They say that love makes the world go around, but the last I heard, something else greases the wheels.
Ha ha ha , MS looking out for someone's best interest's , does anyone actually think that ? No way , no how , MS would take you out in a second if they thought they could get away with it.
Of course they give you the nod and smile to make you think like they care (and apparently some believe it) but make no mistake , they would toss your body down an abandoned mining shaft without even thinking about it if they thought nobody would see it .
I personally like that type of attitude in a computer company.

. . .This just seems to on and on. For those of you who just cannot get over the fact that you believe that Microsoft is spying on you with Windows 10 then why are you even using it?. . .never mine answering that question it just would be total. . .
Part of the issues is those who use Windows 7 and 8 are essentially receiving the Windows 10 treatment as it pertains to telemetry data. It's not always about your own opinion; sometimes it's best to put yourself in others' shoes. I say this because I like a lot of your opinions. 
Not wanting to speak for everyone, I still view privacy as an issue worth standing up for. As other have so eloquently put it, this is not just a Microsoft issue but one that is part of the Internet as a whole. For the record I don't believe Microsoft is spying on me; rather, I would prefer to not be advertised to everywhere I go. Yes, I know there is no escaping advertising. I'm still allowed to not be a fan of it.
Well, since I care about my privacy I must be a tinfoil hat wearer. I'm also not allowed to complain about Microsoft's telemetry data because I use the Internet and they do it too. (Don't worry; no logical fallacies in that argument).
P.S. Is it possible to get my tinfoil hat in green? Grey is just so drab.

I was told by a PC repair man that eventually MS will send updates to Windows 7 and XP that will make them unusable. I have my doubts about that, if that does happen I think people would march on MS and raise h***.
They won't brick XP, W7 and/or the W8 series.
They just won't bother to optimise the patches, so those machines will slow down (making W10 look faster).
On my PC, just before XP's end of support it slowed down (no software other than patches had been added to it).
The same thing happened to W7 a few months before W8 was released.
It used to take 35s to 45s to boot (I even saw the occasional sub-30s boot).
After around July 2012, it started taking 50s to 60s to boot.
Of course I don't keep a diary of my OS boot times so I have no proof.
They are not spying on you in the literal sense , just using it as a marking tool much like Google does, IMHO.
What do you mean by "literal sense"?
IMO, unwanted surveillance is spying.
I have previously posted that all of this "spyware" should be off by default and users should have to explicitly turn it on.
It's interesting how Corporations can get away with activities that would get individuals imprisoned.
If you or I followed someone around with a camera and mike, 24 hours a day, we could be arrested and imprisoned.
Microsoft isn't spying on you. No one cares what music you listen to or what kind of porn you watch on your computer.
The Corporations, Cyber-criminals and the Governments care, a lot.
Corporations want to sell you junk.
Cyber-criminals want to steal your ID.
Governments want to crack down on dissent (oops ... I meant "protect your safety").

If you REALLY think telemetry data (i.e. the mouse clicks and the files associated that prompt UAC controls) is spying you, you need to go wear a tin hat for the rest of your life.
This has been a part of Windows since forever. The system actively gathers data about how you use your PC and sends it back to Microsoft. No, it's not your internet history or what's installed on your PC and what software you've pirated. It's about how figuring out what parts of the OS are being used and what's not and what could use improvement. That telemetry data was what led to some of the design considerations of Windows 8, such as a lowered emphasis on the Desktop because the vast majority of activity from the vast majority of Windows users is something internet based, not file based.
There are bigger things to worry about privacy wise than a software company improving the way their product is used.

One has to ask themselves why would Microsoft give away for free an OS as Good as Windows 10 is? The only answer I can come up with is advertising revenue. It is something like the discount card you get at a supermarket. You get a discount on certain items , and the discount at the sore is applied at their gas tanks. But they have a track record of everything that anyone with the card buys. They can figure out what to stock and how much to charge based on the shopping habits of the consumer. This is what I believe that Microsoft is doing, tracking where you go what you purchase as a marketing tool and nothing more. They are not tracking every word you type or have any sort of keystroke logger. Microsoft is not known for giving any thing away for free so this is what I think, I may be way off but there has to be a reason.
It's only the upgrade that's free and that's a limited time offer. If you buy a PC with Windows 10 preinstalled, its not free, Microsoft makes revenue off of that sale. Upgrade XP or Vista to Windows 10, you pay for the upgrade. Build a new PC and want Windows 10, your paying for it. Wait until the free upgrade offer expires, still want to upgrade, your paying for it. Etc. Microsoft is going to make money off of Windows 10 just like they do with any other OS they've released.

MS is forcing the upgrade upon everybody... I already upgraded to 10, removed windows 10 because to many problems or issues, so I clean installed windows 8.1, Blocked GWX and so on..
Here are the latest results.. Notice MS has it as an Important Update !! What The ?? Really..
Important to who ?? Not me or many other windows users...

Some people have a pre conceived notion that just gets reinforced with all these unsubstantiated claims. Even if Microsoft is upfront about what they are doing its branded as lies and deceit. They are going to believe what they want to believe and you can't change that. Some just can't ever admit that they are wrong about something, even when presented with the facts. Add to that, if you repeat something often enough it gets perceived as fact. And there will always be somebody intent on fanning the flams.

These kinds of debates all center around the definitions used of the terms. What to one person is "spying", to another person is "collecting telemetry data". As long as there is no agreed-upon definition, the debates continue on and the two opposing sides just dig in, defending their points of view.
It's not oppositional points of view that gets threads closed; instead, it's folks resorting the name-calling and insulting conduct.
