Hmm.
At the present time there are references to IE in the filesystem and registry.
I'll keep a watch out.

Until recently, the organisation I volunteer for had a security system that required a plug-in that would only work on IE. When IE was discontinued, we had to find an old computer that we could use Win 7 + IE to enable us to live monitor that security system
However I found an IE substitute that suited our needs in W10/11 called MyIE9. Plug-in could be installed and worked well.
Installed February's Patch Tuesday updates yesterday and IE11 selection will display a page that it's been made inoperative and Edge Chrome gets launched. I don't use IE at all and we run CCleaner daily and today it found 14 IE files to delete all from an AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\NetCache\IE folder. I suspect that the news pin in the task bar is still using IE to gather its content.
FWIW, IE continues to run even though I don't ever use it. CCleaner finds IE files multiple times a day when it cleans the drive.

However it's been quoted...so it's there too.
