I think it might be tied into the theme somehow...

I'm using Windows Desktop's builtin Dark theme. Maybe that explains the difference.

But I do have transparency enabled:

Indeed it is, I checked and somehow it had been turned on ... weird! I turned it off and now it's gone.

Why do some people get version 2132 and others 2130? I'm in the 2130 club

WU still doesn't get the update on my system. Three tries again with the "up to date" message.

Hopefully you're aware that you can force the update by selecting the "Update Now" button on Microsoft's Win10 page at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

My experience with updates of previous versions of Win10, however, has been that this method can take quite a while. Apparently it does more than just apply the "enablement" update.

Yeah, and it can be gotten with the Windows Update Assistant, which also takes a long time. I'm following the WU path as that's what MS states to do. I'm willing to wait for 22H2 (at least until December), so will just keep seeing how long it takes WU to get it.
