For 21H2, only KB5017266 is currently available in the Microsoft Update Catalog, so I think it is better to stay with KB5017500 (KB5017022+KB5017025).
KB5017266 is currently removed from the Microsoft Update Catalog

You maybe right about version 4.8.1 installed because I just check and my highest one is version 4.8.0.
I just checked, the update only works if you have .NET Framework 4.8.1 installed, otherwise it gives an error

    Hello,

    Here: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/d...amework/net481

There are also command lines to check which ones are installed, I don't remember these command lines anymore.
