Somewhat slower than previous one. Done on two PCs. No SFC issues.

    Followed the leader @Ghot.

    Everything seems OK.

Note: After the updates completed , Windows became very slow ( as if the Optane memory has been disabled). After 3 restarts Windows attained the normal speed)

I think mine got slow as well. I also did 2-3 restarts and it got back to normal.
It was either Win 10 or Win 11 that got slow, but whenever that happens on either... I do a few restarts.

Are the days of removing update leftovers over now? I don't even remember when it was possible to have the classic disk cleanup utility clean gigabytes of Windows Update junk. The modern settings app lists 1,41 Gb under "temporary files" but won't let me remove it, as usual. Having Windows automatically "clean up traces" (a text that randomly shows up after an update install and reboot) doesn't seem to free this much space, if any. Some of this junk seems to either get deleted or compressed after a while though, but it seems that the option of doing so yourself is now gone for good unless you go through the trouble of using command lines.

    jumanji,
If you are sensitive about displaying the RegisteredOwner & RegisteredOrganisation info [that you've blanked out] then you can change it or delete it.

Nothing depends on it, you can write any old rubbish there.

Check under "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download". You can remove anything in there, always loaded after an update.

Nope. I've done it many times, before I back up. Never had a problem. I just did for 1826.
