Age of Empires 2 was one of my favorite games to play. I used to play online for hours and hours back in the early 2000's. Is this now an APP version of the game? It looks pretty 'childish' to me compared to the real AOE.

This is not classical AOE its more like clash of clans or other similar mobile games.

We're talking about Microsoft, I wouldn't mind betting people would complain if they brought out a free Operating System.

It does, are you sure you haven't got something to complain about, it's a little unusual around here.

can it be played offline with no internet after it is installed? That way I could run it on the boat PC out on the bay.
Can I download it here at home on a win10 PC, and then install it at the boat?

"Offers in app purchases ranging from $19.99 to $99.99".

Like what? Upgrading to the full game? Not going to install to find out...
