Updates installed and no problems to report. Like many others, I'd like to see more detailed information for at least some of the updates concerning just what they are intended to do.

How you should be able to tell Gary is just watch your hard drive lite, far as I know every computer has one. Ok don't know if laptops do, cause I don't like them. but I would think even lap tops must have a lite for hard drive activity.
Actually, my GF's eMachines desktop with Vista does not have one.

From power button press to completely usable desktop with everything loaded, 80-85 seconds. If I go from after BIOS post to where the desktop first appears, 35-40. This is with a 7200 rpm hard disk, no UEFI, and fast boot disabled.

From restart I don't have any completely black screens, See my screen with my video card name, 1st screen, then to win logo, then to my pic and name, then desktop. about 28 to 32 sec's Cold reboot is not much different. About same speed. My HD is an ssd tho. You right about those 80 sec's for everything to quiet down once you reach desktop, EVEN with my SSD.
Opps forgot one more screen, right after 1st screen I see the HP boot menu......

    K files update 08-27-2015

Got 3 problems to report after updating to 1448, 49 and 52. In the date and time settings, my country switch to USA and the time was 4 hours in advance on my desktop clock.

The third one is in Cortana: The weather is not shown anymore for the 2 cities that I set and pin to start. Instead it's a blue screen, the same one that appears when Internet switch is disable. But, If I click on them to go in full screen mode, I see them.

    Regards,

Windows 10 won't boot up after applying the recent updates

After 3081449 and 3081452 were installed, my desktop Windows 10 (a Dell Vostro) won't complete the boot. It stayed at the circular spin stage (right before the login box appears) forever. I had to revert to a restore point created on 8/23 to complete the boot.

Any suggestion what to do in the future? Can I permanently block these two patches from future updates?

    Thanks.
