I'm just curious, is the download link for .ISO's same for everyone? Or we all have unique ones?

    e.g. This is mine: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=510225
    That's the one I got.

    Hi there

This is what I've got (English version).

Will install on a VM tomorrow -- too tired tonight - especially after being with an English friend tonight and seeing Liverpool lose (again) in the Champions League to Basle -- what do the Swiss know about Football -- apart from evading taxes !!!.

    Cheers

At least their tennis is not too bad either, watches and cuckoo clocks run on time and William Tell was a good shot. Too bad there are too many Swiss living there.

First of all - holy moly, the installation (copying files) went rather quickly, compared how it used to before.

Second, I don't have an option to boot into Windows 7, so I might have to look into this to enable dual-boot afterwards, because it's not available automatically.
EDIT Yaay, dual boot Windows selection appeared itself once second phase of installation went through!

Third, you lot went quiet very quickly once you all downloaded Win 10

EasyBCD should fix that. Wasn't that fast a download, only about 2/3 of my bandwidth but still better than 8.1. Cought them by surprise, only minutes after announcement. Expect servers to be plugged up by tomorrow.

Otherwise, got my first App stuck solidly, so had to reboot. Maps, just wouldn't do anything, update or shut down.

Give VM some more memory than. I'm on one core (of 4) and 1 GB of ram (from 8 GB) and yet it's just fine, almost as fast Linux in same conditions. Maybe because of 4.2 GHz and 1650 MHz RAM.
I feel like a real rube.. I only had 1gb out of 12 for the VM ... bumped it up to 6 and it cured all my ills...

Nice, I'm currently using 4gb in VirtualBox... not having the guest additions is a bit of a pain though as the resolution is small

Won't install on my desktop PC. It's regular BIOS, no UEFI. I booted from a USB thumb drive and just get a black screen with a flashing cursor. Tried Rufus and the Windows 7 DVD download tool. The ISO I have is listed as WindowsTechnicalPreview-x64-EN-US 3.81 GB. MSDN lists a en_windows_technical_preview_x64_dvd_5552500.iso 3.81 GB and a en_windows_technical_preview_for_enterprise_x64_dvd_5554079 3.7 GB. I'm downloading the two MSDN ISO's for another go at it. I'm going to use one of the MSDN ISO's this time. I'm not sure which one I'm going to use though.
