Anyone else getting a new problem after this update where right clicking a drive other than "C:" causes an Explorer.exe hang every time? I can no longer right click to check used space or properties on my "D:" 1TB HDD storage drive.
Code:The program explorer.exe version 10.0.19041.1415 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel. Works fine on my system for any drive in cabinet 1TB or USB 250GB and 1TB.
Thanks. Probably some other issue with the way I configure things, or a "rogue" programs bad context menu entry or something then.
More info just in case: If I right click on the Windows drive C: first, then the others work, if I go straight to the others, Explorer crashes. Odd!
EDIT: Turns out it was the context menu dll from Alcohol 120% causing it.

Yes. And fixed it too. For an existing package in W11's LCU folder you have to take ownership of the package's folder, then grant yourself full permissions before you can delete it. To be able to delete future packages in LCU as easily as in W10 see my reply on you Eleven Forum thread...
How to empty the LCU-folder in Win11 ? | Page 2 | Windows 11 Forum
I have just put W10pro 64 on my new build and everything seems to be up to date including KB5009543. Since loading Windows this evening, the pc has had 2 little fits and restarted, I hope it settles down. It will be on W11 in the next few weeks.
Yes, I did run SFC, found some errors and repaired them but the problem still exists.
I don't use default Windows 10 email and maps applications so I don't bother their associations but the W10 changes my music player from Foobar2000 to Groove, picture browser from IrfanView to Pictures, video player from MPC-HC to Movies and TV and web browser from Firefox to Edge.

Probably a good idea to run sfc every month - I've started doing it before and after the monthly updates, but haven't had any corruption in many months.
I too use IrfanView and Firefox and didn't have my associations change and don't recall seeing this reported by anyone else so far.
