Installed KB5007253 today in 30 minutes (1 restart) now on build19044.1387.

Checked for updates today and the updates that were available were Feature update to Windows 10, version 21H2 and the Net update. I was previously on 21H1 19044.1348. Both updates installed successfully. I am now at 21H2 19044.1348.

After that update, this was available as optional update "2021-11 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5007253)". When I try to install I get the following error "Failed to install on 11/22/2021 - 0xe0000100. SFC /scannow shows no errors and neither does DISM.

In process of doing a repair install in-place upgrade to see if that will fix the problem. Normally when I have this problem I have SFC or DISM problems but not this time.

Now at 21H2 19044.1387 after the repair install in-place upgrade. After the repair I was at 21H2 19044.1348. Then installed update and installed without any problems this time.

AMD FX-8370 machine upgraded OK, other than recurring problem of failing to boot after some OS updates. Recovery is to boot to Windows RE on a thumb drive, run boot repair, which reports failure but "exit to Windows" boots successfully. Apparently BCD or associated data is missing. Machine is fine.

After download & Install, as usual the system asked for a "Restart". Executing the latter, the system kinda stalled on "Cleaning up your system (with the spinning dotted circle at 100%). Don't turn off your computer" for a very, very long time. Probably the longest I have ever seen. It was a bit scary since I could not shutdown the machine. Luckily enough, it finally finished and rebooted. Phew!!. Goodness me, what a relief.

So far, I have not encountered anything yet to report.
