I installed this on several Win10 PCs and NONE of them became Insiders.

And, this KB also updates 21H2 (19044.xxxx) PCs even though the thread title does not indicate that.

OK, so I could be wrong about this. When I checked Settings prior to this update and looked at Windows Insiders, it had info about joining the program. But now, when I look at that, is has info about Leaving the program.

I am a Windows Insider for Windows 11, so maybe that is the confusion.

But you raise a valid point and I will not have to do some experimenting including possibly restoring a build prior to this KB, to see what difference that makes.

UPDATE: So I checked the other Win10 PCs that I updated and NONE of them are in the Insiders program as they all get the message to Join the program. So since my PC is an Insider for Windows 11, that's probably why my PC is getting this message.

YES -- it is in Settings --> Update and Security --> Windows Insider Program. If you are NOT an Insider, it will have some info about joining the program.

I am not sure if this is the correct way, but I did it trying to find out if I was on Insider Program.......

Settings > Update & Security > left side, Windows Insider Program > right side, click Leave the Windows Insider Program > that led me to a new window where it told me my email address is NOT registered as Insider.

Got the updates installed without difficulties. MSRT seemed to take a little longer than usual this time. My existing Win10 installations (now only 4 in number) are all extremely stable and well-behaved, though.
